NASCAR 2023 schedule: Chicago, North Wilkesboro between cup series changes

NASCAR It released its national 2023 schedule on Wednesday, and while the two new additions to the Cup calendar were already known, one of the tracks that lost the race was confirmed.

Texas Motor Speedway will only have one Cup event – the NASCAR Playoffs. NASCAR announced last week that The 2023 All-Star event will move from Texas to North Wilkesboro (NC) Speedway. Another major change to the cup schedule has already been announced, such as The Road America race will move from the Wisconsin track to the streets of Chicago.

Other notable elements of the trophy table:

The match schedule remains unchanged.

– The Martinsville race in April goes from Saturday night through Sunday. There are only two races on Saturday night: the traditional final race of the regular season in Daytona and the Bristol Night Race in September. The rest of the cup schedule is Sunday events.

NASCAR has announced its first-ever street tournament in Chicago as part of the 2023 Cup Series schedule.

Other series changes:

– The Xfinity series The race that was over the weekend at Texas All Star moves to Sonoma, and the Talladega race moves to Chicago Street Stadium. The Sonoma and Chicago additions give the Xfinity Series eight road laps, where it will continue to make a trip to Road America.

The Trucks are keeping their race from the Texas All-Star weekend, and will be paired with the IndyCar race in Texas. The Sonoma Truck Racing moves to North Wilkesboro as a support race for the All-Star Cup weekend. Truck racing moves from Knoxville, Iowa to the Milwaukee Mile.
