Kate Middleton join Queen Camilla in one of Most Impactful Events in the royal calendar.

Members of London’s royal family gather at the war memorial at the National Service Memorial, also known as Remembrance Sunday. The annual celebration, always held on the second weekend in November, honors those from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries who died in wars.

The Princess of Wales, 40, took her place alongside Queen Camilla, 75, on the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office overlooking the service. Their husbands Prince William and King Charles, Laying wreaths at the memorial During the service which also included a two-minute silence at 11 a.m. local time.

Kate wears a poppy pin, a symbol that has been used since 1921 to commemorate the military who lost their lives. She and other members of the royal family have been seen wearing the pins since the beginning of November. The Queen chose to wear three poppies on her black ensemble. The symbolic flowers are believed to honor her great-grandmother’s three siblings, Olive Middleton, who all fought and died in World War I.

During her lifetime, Queen Elizabeth was known to wear five poppies on her black coat during a memorial service. Her group of flowers is believed to represent each of the services (army, navy, air force and civil defense), with women representing the fifth.

A wreath was laid on behalf of Queen Camilla by knights from the royal family for the first time. Her wreath marked the race colors of the Queen Consort, inherited from her grandfather, and echoed the wreath of the former Queen, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. It also included a handwritten card featuring Camila new cypher.

He also attended the service at the memorial to Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex; Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence; The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester; And duke you.

While Princess Anne and Prince Edward were also laying wreaths, Sophie stood with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester from another balcony. On the third balcony was Sir Lawrence and the Duke of Kent.

After all the tribute poppies had been placed at the memorial, the Bishop of London led a short prayer of prayers and hymns. It ended with the national anthem “God Save the King” sung by veterans and members of the royal family. King Charles left followed by his family, while Camilla and Kate were on the balcony going out, Kate stepped aside for the Queen’s consort to precede her in the building.

On Wednesday, Princess Kate shared a sweet moment with a 3-year-old boy named Akeem while she was away A visit to the Culham Manor Children’s Center. After Akim showed interest in a poppy pin, she took it off her jacket and gave it to him While sharing her reason for wearing the accessory.
