It can be difficult, but there are strategies to reshape the way you think about pain, manage it, and your birth experience.
Here are eight ways to prepare for the experience of a natural birth.
1. Choose the right provider
Choose a health care provider who is on board with a normal delivery, has experience working with a midwife, understands birth plans, and has a low rate of cesarean deliveries. Find a location where the staff actively works with parents to ensure that their births go according to their plans.

2. Exercise regularly
